I received a call today & they asked for my husband by name 'I said he's not available' which he wasnt! The man said well thats ok I can actually talk to anyone, he mentioned he was calling for the Fraternal order of police & would I support them bla bla bla. He would send me a sticker if I would make a donation. I asked him why was he calling me from PA when I live in MD......his response was we're a contractor hired by them to make these calls! I wanted to say BS your a freakin scammer, for one the police DO NOT call for donations, they might mail you something but not call!!! I told him to remove me from his list cause I was tired of the damn calls & hung up the phone.
I got a call at 8:25 this morning--a Saturday!! I am so annoyed!--way too early for ANYONE to call on a Saturday!! or any day really! (hence my internet search of the number) I didn't answer, but let it go to voicemail, but 'they' left no message. But, I have gotten calls for donations to police, but didn't not the number at the time--was in the middle of cooking.
Called for the third time, this time at 8 a.m. on a Saturday. The same male voice asks if (my name, which is quite common) is there and since he is talking to answering machine gets no response and hangs up. Called previously using a number in the Philadelphia area.
