1-570-851-5700 its a scam I called it back a man picked up I told him I know he was trying to scam me by saying I own pass due bills in the pass I am going to have cops knocking at my boor when I challenged him he told me he was going to [***] me up the [***]. Guy with Indian accent (yet totally American name)says he is calling due to a payday loan i supposedly took out and didnt pay. What?!!!! i have only taken out one pdl ever!!! and i paid it off before their refinancing fees started. this company is calling my job repeatedly, tying up the phone lines with threats that the police will be here to arrest me, basically putting my job in jeapordy. common sense dictates if ther ereally was a loan and i needed to repay it, how does making me lose my job get you your money any faster? Damn retards!!!
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

I got a call from these jerks a couple of minutes ago had me worried alil he had my last digits of social my email and knew only my first and last name but then noticed some weird stuff bout it all imma definitely report it thanks for yalls help seriously thank yall I can't believe they would do such things..
