I received a vm on my house phone number and they said that my wages were going to be garnished, and then she got very disrespectful calling me a [***], she said only [***] don't pay their bills and began to say good luck. All because I said I have proof that I do not owe any company anything. Total scam, and a total [***].
I received a call today from a person saying her name was Jessica Singleton. She left a message on my phone recorder saying that Sonja Johnson-which is not me-was being investigated for fraudlent charges. She told me in order to stop this transaction that me or "my" laywer needed to call immediately. At the end of the conversation..she said "Good Luck"HAHAHA!
I got the same thing. I called back and at the end of the voicemail which was hard to understand I hear the person ask someone else if it sounded too long. I left a message and said it sounded like a scam but if not I gave claim number and said I wasn't this person. I'm sure it's a scam.
ID thieves and bill collectors buy and sell your information. Cheer up; it costs them money every time they give up and have to sell. Thieves want you to call them back in order to collect more information to sell to others if they can't con you. Don't ever give out or "confirm" ANY information over the telephone, including your name; it's the safest way to protect yourself. If you call them back, they have your number. If you identify yourself, they have your name, and so on. Do not push any buttons or leave messages. These are common tactics of thieves and bill collectors alike. Beware, these thieves ARE POSTING HERE (800notes) to confuse people.
