I got a threatening voicemail from a person with an Indian accent (Alex Smith) claiming that there is a lawsuit against me from the IRS and if I do not return his call immediately all he could say was good luck to me as the situation unfolds on me.
I just reported them to the real IRS at this website: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml
I also called my local non-emergency Police number, and they said it's a scam that's huge this time of season, and that they call from "Magic Jack" phone numbers that are overseas & untraceable. She also told me that they must get 10-15 calls a day about similar calls. She told me to report them to the above link that I posted & that if they call back to either not answer, or just tell them that you have reported them to the authorities. It's unreal.. I worry for the elderly people who actually fall for this kind of stuff.
Long story short, it's a HUGE scam. If everyone reports them, MAYBE it will put a dent in their scam.
