Received a call from this number claiming to be the IRS and I will be prosecuted for something. I know it's a scam and they gave a callback number. The same as on the caller ID. An indian accent man answered saying IRS. I cursed him out. Tried to look the number up but intelius has no such number. From Santa Teresa New Mexico.
I received a call from (575)305-9148 and I called the number back. "Officer Anderson" said we hadn't paid taxes since 2012 and we were being prosecuted. I assured him that we had paid our taxes and then he asked if we lived at a past zip code and I said we haven't been there for 3 years. He barked, "This sounds like you're trying to evade the law." I had a feeling from the start that this was a scam. I told him to have a supervisor call me.
I've had three calls and voice mails from this number saying it's the IRS and that they are going to prosecute me. I called them back and a lady answered immediately "IRS" and I said "This is clearly a scam so how do I get you to stop calling me?" She hung up immediately.
