I do not know if this is a real fund drive or not, but they are calling from Alamogordo, Las Cruces, Roswell. I live in Santa Fe, if i am going to give money to a firemen's drive it will be to one closer to home.
I ignored the call because I was busy, and later I called the number from my unlisted prepaid cell phone, to hear what the robocaller had to say. "...Hello? This is Ray Crusett, how are you today?" and I just listened on mute. The robocall tried again: "...Hello? How are you today?" So I said "eff off," just to trigger their machine and hear what gets said next, for the benefit of those that come to 800notes.com. It went into their scam shpiel "... well the reason for the call is that the New Mexico Firefighters Association is having their fundraising drive..." at which point I hung up. Scam charity robocall of the day. Some few scam calls are clever, but this ain't one of 'em! Doh!
