caller from NY # 585-636-0010 TOTAL fishing attempt- upon answering the number it "rung back" to a guy that asked about an application to return to school and when i graduated high school- i said I'm not answering questions until I know who I'm talking... to which the guy just hung up
This number called me. I didn't recognize it so I immediately sent it to voice mail. No message left and attempts at reverse lookup resulted in that the Number was a landline located on Hamlin St. Rochester,NY and that it most likely was a telemarketing number.
Same as most others have explained. Guy asked me for some info and after 2 questions he hung up. Traced back to NY but it was disconnected. I changed my Facebook account password and my bank account password. Read an old posts about these guys hacking FB and verifying your info to use and find your friends too.
I work at Edward Jones Investments. The caller on this number spoke poor English and kept asking for "Edora Jones, right??"
I told him who he had reached and he clicked off. I guess it's all about speed!! I'm sure we are still on the list. Sigh. Not polite enough to say "sorry" or "I'll remove you". What am I thinking???
You can be on the DO NOT CALL LIST but I think an auto-dialer (robo) just gets you randomly as it goes through the digit sequencer... Any one know how this works?
Call from 585 636 0010 some student loan place asking me for my address, date of birth, and social security number which I did not give to him he wanted me to confirm my personal information to him and I asked him to confirm my last 4 so I would know who I was talking with if he was confirming something wouldn't he have it there on file? The gentlemen who spoke with me had very thick Pakistani accents which also sent red flags. I think these are people fishing for information to steal peoples identities. Don't give them any info! They tried to call me back 3 times afterwards and the numbers kept coming back diffrent one of them only displayed the digits 2008. When I tried to call the number back it said that my carrier could not connect me to the number or the number was no longer a valid number. Some one needs to look into them.
I have received numerous. calls. from. These l numbers. 4640461978, 5856360010,& 548 4635226 they either. don't say anything at all. or. the background.sounds muffled and like they are chanting something. They have been calling me for the past hour I have been sending to voice mail even as l'm typing they are calling me please stop I have been working all and have a child raise and this is causing extreme stress giving me headaches please stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
