He sends a check. I was selling a dinning room set for $250, guy sent me $1,780. says he will send someone to pick up the set just get my share of the money and the rest give to a guy known as Joe Cooper for his pick up services.
The check is no good. It will not clear, and the money you send to the "delivery service' will come out of your pocket as well as the bank fees. Take the check and the envelope it came in to the post office and have them send it to the postal inspectors.
Guy identified himself as "Joe" offered by text last week to send a check for my couch and make arrangement for the pick up when check clears. When I asked for his name and address, he went quiet for a few days and then came back with a text "I'm sorry for the delay I've been at the hospital. I am glad to let you know the check was sent and will be delivered to you any moment soon." Scam is still going on. Beware!!
