just got another call from 'Joe" from ANDREW FAULT's office. Would not tell me what the call was regarding, said he would find out and call back. I told him to please do that.
I never answer the phone directly for any numbers I don't recognize. Since I work from home, I get plenty of calls from both legitimate as well as scammers, and I don't have time for either. I checked my voicemail today to see if there were any legitimate messages, and I had one from this number, but it was super creepy. The person on the line was whispering and I couldn't make out what was being said and this went on for several minutes. I have no idea to what end leaving a long, creepy whispering message on my voicemail (a landline, not a mobile number) benefits the scammer, but that was a new one for me. My guess is that the caller ( it sounded like a woman) didn't realize that it was recording a voicemail and so was hanging out for the next call practicing her script, whispering. I'm guessing that the Robo dial transfers once a call goes through, and my vm greeting was short enough that by the time it made it to this person, they just thought that no one was there. Usually, they just hang up and don't leave messages, so having 2 minutes of this creepy whispering and voice clearing was a bit unnerving.
keeps calling and asking for my husband. when i say he is unavailable and that she can leave a message. she says says she has no message right now and hangs up before i can ask any more questions. it is always a foriegn sounding voice. usually an indian.
This caller identified himself (in a thick, Middle-Eastern accent) as "Kevin," calling on behalf of Josh ?? at CUNA, asking for my boss. I asked if my boss was expecting Josh's call. "No." I said, "One moment, please," and put him on hold. He hung up immediately. I immediately looked up the number 602-412-4976 and found this list of others with similar complaints.
