AMEX rep left a message saying it was in regards to a recent application for credit. I did apply recently, so it might be legit, but I decided not to call back so I can't say for sure.
2 calls in 24 hours from this # from people with heavy Indian accents claiming to be from Amex...when I called back automated system, first thing it asked me for was my SS#...why would AMEX give out a # that's not toll free???? I notified AMEX & they're "looking into it"
I also recieved a call in the afternoon today. The guy even left a tollfree no. 866 379 3643. I tried searching for this no. on google and amex site but no luck.
It seems to be a racket.
