It is CBCS, a collection agency. The number that shows on my caller id is: 603-755-6303 which appears to be a local number from the Farmington, NH central office. However, Customer's can by a bank of VoIP local telephone from a LEC (local exchange carrier), CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier) and other types of phone companies. The numbers appear to be local, as is the case for me. Farmington is about a 45 minute drive from my home in Kingston, NH. They have call centers in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, and NY. Their website, https://www.cbcsnational.com/industries-served.php, says, "At CBCS, we serve the healthcare, utility, government, and financial services industries.". We owe a hospital a ton of money for a surgery my husband had in 2014. I believe that's the debt they're calling us about. Since they never leave a voice mail, I never call them back.
I have been getting many calls from this number. I was sitting here at my computer when they called again. I expected a message to be left but it wasn't. So I decided to call them back and ask to be taken off of their phone list.
A woman answered and she was very nice. She explained that she was from CBCS which is short for Credit Bureau Collection Services. I asked her to remove my number which she did.
Then she told me about the 2 accounts that they had against me which came up to a little over 600 dollars. I explained my current situation and that I could only send 10 dollars a month. that was fine she said, no problem at all. so, she is sending me some paper work and she is stopping all of the phone calls.
That makes me feel much better.
they use different numbers up and down the East Coast the woman told me so others may not get this same phone number calling them. It depends on where you live.

They are not located in Farmington, NH. They called, and my caller Id showed the phone number to be from Farmington, NH but, the left a message saying to call them back through a 888 number. I live in NH, and this is not the first time I received a phone call from them. This is a scam

They leave me a few voicemails a week. I owe a hospital from like 10 years ago for lab work that was done incorrectly. I have had numerous agencies call to try and collect and told them I refuse to pay the $190 that they want because the did the wrong work and I had to get it done elsewhere and pay there as well.
So, I have now set my home phone up to screen this number, no more calls will hit my line from these people now that I know who it is that is calling me.
