Just got an incoming call from this #, showing Valentine, NE on caller ID, obviously spoofed since no legitimate caller info shows up that way. Got to the call blocker by 3rd ring and hit the big red Block Now button, won't hear from them again, but not 2 minutes later another call shows up as 718-978-6936 and just New York for caller ID, also blocked. Almost immediately the blocker showed another incoming call that was immediately blocked, meaning whatever number they tried next was either already on the blocked list of this time they tried unavailable or another generic ID.
No idea what they want nor do I care as I stopped answering and started blocking long ago. One good thing I've found is that if you hit block now before the answering machine picks up the machine on the other end probably then logs my number as inactive as I rarely get another call from that # unlike before I had the blocker and used to see these scum call from the same # day after day after day.
This BS has gotten so bad I've had to install software based blockers on my private and work cell phones, to the point now it hardly seems worth having a landline and the cell phones are rapidly catching up on scam call activity!
My cell rang at 5:13 PM. CID reports only "South Dakota." I have quit answering numbers that I don't recognize. So the call went to voicemail and the robo system hung up without leaving a message.
