I was told that during the investigation my son could be arrested for check fraud, because there is a warrant for his arrest and that I better tell my son to call him before he is arrested.
They left message on my phone for my husband saying that because they had made multiple attempt to contact him (this was the 1st time I had heard of) and they had a complaint against his SS# they were going to forward it to our county sheriff's dept.
I recently have received the same calls from this number! Saying I have committed theft and fraud some how and they will file a bench warrant on me! I haven't done a single thing wrong! They have harassed me in the past also! Don't know how they got all my information! Definently Spam though! They wouldn't contact you like that if something was really going on! Don't give them any money either!
This "company" called my extended family members, telling them that there was a FELONY Arrest Warrant in my name. Never called me directly. So I called the number and gave them the Case # they had left on the voicemail of my family members. turns out, this is a collection agency. They threaten you by saying that the DA (district attorney) office is ready to go to court, blah blah blah. Completely not legitimate, as the man I spoke to, Mr. Quintana, never asked for any of my information to verify who I was. He told me that the name of the company he works for is The Law Offices of Goldstein & Smith. And that there is an incident attached to my name and social, for check fraud and that I could take care of this before court by setting up a payment plan with him. Thats when I started asking him questions, because any actual court case through an actual lawyer would verify my current info, and send me through the mail the court documents. Then I asked why he called my sister and brother in law (on separate occasions, on each of their cell phones) and told them there was a felony arrest warrant for me. He denied calling either of them, Fortunately, my sister saved the voicemail and I listened to it. Long story short, this is a collection agency using scare tactics. I will be filing a complaint against them for what they did. They scared the sh*t of out my family, for no reason at all, it was a lie!!!!
