Please stop answering your phone people. Unless you recognize that number - let it go to voice mail. If its important AND the person calling you knows you - you will get a voice mail. Otherwise, chalk it up as not feeding the cause.....
After a few months of no one answering these dimwits, they'll stop calling around as their business will have no one left to prey on.
Have to do it that way cause our government is doing squat to stop this, like most everything else they cant do properly.
Sure.... many cell and landline phones have the ability to block numbers. Or, you can buy a relatively inexpensive call blocker. Better question... why did you answer? If you don't recognize the number don't answer. If it's important they will leave you a voice mail (which could also be a scam).
No!! Answer and play along just don't actually do anything they tell you say "uh huh, yep, ok , got it" anything to keep them going on the call. Spend as much of their time as possible and eventually it will be an unprofitable venture.
