Caller (either India or Pakistan) excited about my 'Windows' computer being hacked into now and to go to their website now to correct the problem! Bogus! Reverse phone search shows either 'Corland, NY' or 'Selena, TX' and hung up immediately when I stated that I don't have a 'Windows' computer.
July 26, 2017. Got the same message: "If you are the one who is using Microsoft windows in your computer, please call 607 289 3811 or press 1 to speak with security team now. Please ignore if we called you by mistake. thanks..."
The good old Microsoft scam recording... I pressed 1 and a thick accented man came on..I had my phone on speaker and continued mixing a cake with electric mixer going. I kept hearing him say hello... hello while he listened to the whirring from my mixer. Karma is so much fun!!!! Whirrr....
If you're looking to get the calls stopped, you went the wrong way about doing it. It doesn't matter what ANY noise on the receiever's end is, an answer on that is required for any of it. That matters more than whatever noise you have ready for them and it does NOTHING to stop pests from reselling your number.
