just got a call from 607-363-9766. the caller claimed to me from the IRS and that a lawsuit was being filed against me and i need to immediately call the return number back with personal information.
I just got a call from this number this morning @ 724a. The guy said his name is Mark from the Attorney Generals office in New York and that there is warrant out for my arrest. He verified my name, SSN, D.O.B, place of employment and mailing address. He had all of the correct information even though I told him the information was incorrect.
Ive received calls from these people in the past from different phone numbers that dont exist when trying to call it back, they've even called from a blocked/private number and left messages.
I dont know how these people are getting my personal information but I want them to stop.
What can I do?
btw. They all have heavy accents like from India or something.

I just got a call from this number, said he was from windows technical support knew my former last name, i did not let him get to far and just said i don't have a windows pc, but now i am wondering if i should have strung him along for a bit and see that they are up to:(
These guys called at my home and told that they are from Microsoft techincal services. My wife gave him my number. He call me and said something wrong with my computer. I told him I don't have time at this moment and call me back. He called my home again and told my wife that he spoke to me and something is really bad happening to our comupter. She told him that she had to talk to me before she do anything. At that point guy hung his phone. Guy had Indian/pakistani accent. Number showed up from NY/USA
I has these guys call me today too...a holiday( Labour day!!!) telling me there are from windows as well and that my computer is sending a lot of error messages and they wanted to go online with me to fix it...I told them B....S...asked where they were calling from and how they got my phone number as it is a new number and I have not given it to anyone yet!!! I also said I do not even have my computer on!! and I hung up, they called me back from another number 818-843-9669 and told me to listen, there was a serious problem. I asked where he was calling from and he said Toronto...I asked to speak to his manager or supervisor, some guy said his name was David Plazer and that he was in Toronto...neither could pronouce the city name correctly by the way and said they had many error messages that my computer had a lot of bad files on it and it had to be fixed. I told him to give me his number and I would call back...he gave me 647-931-1746..of course I have not and will not call back..it is a scam people!!!! The want you to go on your computer and let them in..they will steal your information if you let them.
