It is one of the numbers used by a group of men with indian accents trying to scam you out of money. I answered the call and just like the other calls I have recieved, this guy claims to be a lawyer. He says that there is a case pending against you based on your social security number and name. He demands that you "settle" with him over the phone, or he will send people to your home to take you to the court house to be arrested. LMAO! Don't be scared and don't fall for it. They get your information from online applications and try to use their knowledge of your info to scare you into paying them.
I received 4 calls from this number, the first three were hang up or no one there.On the fourth call a man with a very thick East Indian accent asked for me by name and identified himself as being from a pharmacy company and wanted to remind me about refilling medication prescriptions. I told him that I did not need anything (to see where this was going) he then tried to remind me of the importance of proper use of medication. I then said that I thought that he was crazy calling me from a pay phone and expecting me to tell him anything! Guess what immediate hang up on his end and no more calls! Please be sure that you have advanced caller id on your phone and watch carefully where these call are from
Fake call by the name of Mark Owen and had a weird accent maybe he was trying to imitate british accent. He said the Us government has choosen people with no cirminal records for passed 6 months to claim 10,000 dollar check which u do not need to pay back.
you are being reported to the attorney generals office and to the better business bureau, hopefully, proper action will be taken. for your own good, stop the unwanted calls.!!!!!!!
Received a call from 1-607-734-9187, from a heavily accented Indian/Pakistan male, informing me that he is with Microsoft and that my computer is slow. I disconnected the line.
