On December 20 2013 I received a text message on my cell phone which read: "Bank of America Notification-please call 607 564-5825" text address was "
[email protected]" .When you call the 607 number you get a computer generated voice recording saying your "Achieve Master Card has been temporarily suspended due to a technical error, you are then prompted to press 1 on your keypad, then you are prompted to enter your entire 16 digit Bank of America credit card number. Obviously a scam. I called the real BOA and they were surprisingly indifferent and said they could not do anything about it and then told me not to call the number again or fall for the scam-"DUH!" We all should block the text message address and advise our cell service provider of the text address- note the text address is one digit short of al complete 10 digit number so it may not be able to be blocked.
