Have called three times so far today. They leave no message when I don't pick up but call 5 min. later. I do have debts but I know this is illegal and have said that to them numerous times. I'm in a debt settlement program and they have my power of atty. Even they can't stop these people from calling.
They called my cell phone 8am PT - Did not leave any message. I do not know anybody from that area code, looked in the Internet and got surprised! My cell number is unlisted.
Thye have called my house under naqtionwide credit and also NCO. It sounds like the same person. They ask for my daughter who has no recollection of them either. To date they have called 5 times and asked for her and I told them she is not home, then the guy says this call may be recorded and I hang up. I don't know how thye got her name with this number cause the phone is listed under my husband's name and is a private unllisted number also on the do not call list. If I recall correctly I told them this several times last week too.
This number has called my house SIX times or more in one day. I answer and hit "mute" and they don't say anything. Other times I have gotten a recorded message on my voicemail saying "this is an importatn message from NCO financial services...etc" yes I owe debts but this is harrassment, and I am already consulting an attorney about this and other harrassing(and VERY rude and threatening collectors) Dont answer, and if you have a cell phone, change the number. I'm thinking about doing so...
