Received SEVERAL calls from this number stating they were filing a claim and when I spoke to a "rep" they said that if I did not give them information that there was "nothing they could do to stop the cops from coming to arrest me and seize my house and belongings." She was VERY rude/mean and told me if I hung up the phone and did not give her information I would be arrested with 45 minutes.

The IRS scams are starting again. I've heard of them, but have never been affected. Today, I received an automated voicemail saying this is the IRS' final attempt to contact me (I've never received a call AND I have no tax issues) before they sue me. They even gave a telephone number, 607.794.1704, to call about this "case file". I kindly Googled the number out of curiosity and there are numerous reports of this scam. They are actually getting a lot of people this way because they are being threatened with arrests and property seizures. SMH! Don't believe the hype!!!
