Nope, Rob you need to read my the post carefully, I did call them to verify if it was a robo cal or a real person behind the call, first off blocking my caller ID from being announced. (Meaning I blocked my ID)
Now do the Math, In order for them to supposedly take you off their call list, you were asked to punch in the number you are calling from, if you punched in a fake number the system would have told you the number isn't in their data base. This is to force you to authenticate your number, now they already know which fake number they used in calling the number you've just punched in, so the're no longer going to use that number to contact you. Which leads you to think you've been taken off the list.
Read my post again, these guys lease hundreds of numbers from the phone companies so it's just a matter of switching caller IDs & Numbers.
1. You don't call them back. & if you do, block you number & ID, don't fall for the fake opt-out prompts.
