Caller ID said Dir Assist NJ. Man with an Indian accent said he was from Microsoft Technical Support. I told him that was BS and hung up on him. These brazen imbeciles are just too much!!!! Hope they rot in Hell!
Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft Tech. Eastern European or Russian accent. Caller claimed that they urgently needed me to respond to a message sent to them from my computer. He asked is I was in front of my computer. I hung up.
Received voice mail from (609) 555-0146 leavinf a message about ' "in-traction(?) which has been executed by the US Treasury Department ' -- transcription of voicemail via Comcast. Xfinity transcription records voicemail as well as originating telephone number. Had an income tax scam call a little while back, and IRS confirmed it was a scam; same thing with call back number different from originating call. Both calls had a threat of court/arrest to prompt call back. Recording sounded like an automated call; had an accent, not American.
Call from a heavily accented male obviously in a call center from the noise in the background. Asked for me by my last name. I asked who is calling. Disconnected. Area code is from New Jersey.
