This number has called me almost everyday for 2 weeks. Finally today they left a message and were wanting a disabled family member of mine to do a survey on home health care. They seem ok but I will say they are persistent with the calling lol.
I have not answered this call, but they call constantly. They just called, and not even a minute later they called back. They don't hang up right away but leave no message.
More than likely, they are a call center. That would explain the various entities that are represented. In regards to them knowing your information, if you have applied/registered with federal or state offices in relation to your situation, it's public record. They'll never be able to get SSN's, but they can get everything else. Hope that helps explain it.
I too, have been getting phone calls from this number. Like most people, I do not answer it. But they are very annoying. This morning, I called the number from my cell phone and received a recorded message saying they were a research company doing surveys for federal agencies, local and state governments, etc. There was an option for leaving a message. I did!!
"Quit calling my home phone." (with number) I'll see if this works.
Called and stated they were a firm hired by the Social Security Admin. to survey and qualify me to recv. accelerated benifits. They knew my name . The 2nd question was what was my DOB. If they ewre working for the SSA they would have this info already. Seems like some sorta scam.
