I also got a recorded message about my "Wells Fargo Card" being frozen and to press 1 to unfreeze it. I just hung up since I have never had a Wells Fargo card. These guys suck and I hope everyone else hangs up on them too.
I received a call from this number. I let it go to voice mail since I didn't recognize the number. It was a recorded message claiming to be Wells Fargo. Supposedly, they have blocked my account due to suspicious activity, and if I pressed 1, they would remove the block. I don't have an account at Wells Fargo, and I know that no bank would ever legitimately make a call like this. Whomever this is, they are obviously scammers. They need to get a life. Losers.
I just received a call from this number. Although I do have a WF account, I'm not an idiot. Even our local paper mentions these calls are going around in our area (Ft. Dodge, Iowa). The cops are aware of them, but is it even possible to trace these calls back to their origin? I hope these scammers are caught and prosecuted.
