612 213 2277, "Out of area," showed up on caller ID an hour ago. I answered - it began with a recorded message saying with "Are you a senior?" and launched a recorded sales pitch for a senior-targeted service or product, then asked me to enter a keypad response, at which point I hung up instead.
In Minnesota, unattended robocalls are illegal under MN statute 325E.27 which specifically makes solicitation calls not preceded by a live human operator, illegal unless you have a prior relationship with the company (I don't) or limited other exceptions which didn't apply here.
I've already downloaded our State Attorney General's complaint form, completed the detail, signed, and submitted. I suggest other MN residents should do the same if you find this call type unwelcome.
