Received a call yesterday from this number. They called at least 4 times....knew my name and my address.
Did the same as some of you, stated I was receiving a credit for some magazines. When I questioned them, I was told I had to update my account--by giving checking acct info--to get any information.
Incredibly shady.
Good, and fellow pissed off Americans, I've been dealing with (612-Minn.), as well as in the same day (402) 317-5162 out of Lincoln, NE. My situation is odd because: They asked for a shady cousin of mine(We'll call him "Adolph",cause he's a scum bag), they new his address, his e-mail, and first and last name(Hitler of coarse! lol).
I thought cousin Adolf was behind it(and he still could have a hand), but after reading you good peoples comments, i feel these companies/scam-sterrs are up to more than saying" you won a $500 Wallmart gift card"
I got my 4th(former 3 hung up)tele-mark-operator to chat with me for over an hour. Revealing all sorts of stuff he should not have told. Long story short:I worked in market research for 4 years. This is the sale of information, via the survey. I am going to find out who these son of a b#tch's are.
I will locate the political district for both #'s. Then the State Congress(wo)man. and/or St. Rep. for that district. I urge you to do the same. And send an e-mail. You will be shocked, they will get back to you. Maybe not right away, or in my case not at all. Then e-mail or write your own State and Federal rep.
And in this election year, who knows response might b slow, but worst case we use local Media, think big! Hell National media. Remember Wallmart is not party to this. That's news worthy. Strenth in numbers. Remember what it takes for "evil to prevail"( Aaron Burr, quote). To paraphrase: All it takes for evil to conquer, is for good men(and women) to stand back and do nothing.
