Just got a voice-mail message, "David" from the Crime Investigation Division of CRA. He had a slight accent. He asked for a person in the house stumbling over the name (used a slightly wrong name), stumbled over his own "direct" phone number, had to repeat it because he left off part of it the first time. The number that came up on our call display was different than his "direct" number, although it was a true CRA number, 1-800-267-6999, but it is the number for a fully automated information service. He was aggressive, stating that he had a "legal notice of tax evasion" and that a "tax fraud case has been downloaded in my name." Yes, "downloaded." What a moron! Scam!!

David Jones is working For Cra in investigating team,some fraudsters are using their own personal number to call back but 1-800-267-6999 is a number for individual and buisness tax filers.If you receive a call from toll free number then call back on that same number and talk to the Cra agents.
