Well I'm Pakistani origin and the bloke has an Indian accent :) but yes, it's a scam. Getting so many calls I just let all go to voice mail. Which they couldn't bother waiting for 7 rings, LOL.
A Phishing call, caller purports to be an Officer from the Collections Bureau of the CRA (IRS for Americans) and I have a Debt. Had a well disguised East Indian Accent, the CRA don't call people, done by Mail unless contact has been made. I checked the phone # and it's not in use and no doubt it's VOIP. I offered to pay my 'debt' by wrapping my 'Junk' in $100 bills and Sodomize him, then when I leave he can retrieve the amount owning. He hung up and don't blame him! ;-)
Just received a call from 613 689 1525 - a man with an Pakistani accent (sorry - no disrespect) - did not seem legit - but was threatening - saying that - it was a recording. He said he was an Officer from the CRA and that I have a debt ....
Please be warned this is a scam to get information from you, if you go on Revenue Canada website under telephone scams you can read that this message is almost the same as a scam that has been running. The"officer" that called also had a strong accent.
Heavy Indian accent threatening legal action on behalf of CRA... Same scan now on two different phone numbers. I advised him additional contact to my number would be considered harassment and cause for my own legal action ... He hung up.
