Holy cow! I just jumped back in here after they called again a minute ago and wanted to see if anyone else had more to say. I just did the same thing again, picked up then hung up again immediately. I think I'll continue doing that...
-called me tonight in Calgary--this is a spoof number-- tried calling back and of course it is not available--would not identify himself as to who he was from and what he wanted--foreign accent--perhaps the Phillipines? sounded like the typical scam call--pretended that he knew me. I am on the "do not call list" I have reported the call. suggest everyone else do likewise.
Called me with a "survey", but it was really weird. It wasn't on a specific topic, they didn't ask personal info, but how I liked my job, if I had allergies. It was really strange (I've taken legit surveys, and this was not even close to that).
I suspect it was some social engineering attempt to customize a scam for later. (ie - thanks for taking our survey, you've now won a trip, send us your CC info...) that type of thing.
They have called me three times today and when I tell them to stop they hang up. Completely illegitimate phone call... The last time I yelled at them and the girl decided to meow like a stupid cat!! How do I block these people!!!
Called twice tonight. First time I let it go to the answering machine (likely no message I haven't checked) second time I did a pick up-hang up so I didn't have to listen to it ring the 8 required times before my machine kicked in.
Reading the other messages here, maybe if they call back I'll answer and meow at them. ;)
