Just got a call from these Bozo's and I didn't sign up for anything! First he claimed to be "local" (I live in a small farming community 70 miles from Columbus) & proceeded to ask personal questions which I told him was none of his business. Then he asked if I was still planning on selling my house!? It has been in our family for years and has never been for sale. I just told him that I wasn't going to do any improvements. He seemed shocked & said none at all. I just said nope & he hung up on me. If they continue to call here, I will call the FCC and report them (after I politely get their name, company name & contact number :-)
Last year I was looking for gutter guards. This company sent a salesman to meet with us at my request for an estimate. He was insulting and the presntation was lenghthy. I sent him on his way after an estimate was given which was an inflated price. This guy has called twice in a week. I told him in no uncertain words---not interested. I reported him to the BBB.
This company has been calling 3-4 times a day, 5 days each week. I finally blocked the number by using "Mr. Number", a free Blackberry app. Hopefully the calls will end.
The called my cell phone today to, didn't recognize the number because thier caller id info did not pull up. After researching it, come to find out I forgo I had them at my door on friday afternoon, they were canvasing my area and because we could not set a date I told them to call me after the holiday.
We had another company before that called Home Builders doing the same thing last year as well. They try selling you roof and windows.
Thought I would let you all know.
And NO I AM NOT PART OF THE SCAM. If you look at our roof, and you see that our windows are original to our house 1974, you would know this. We bought our house almost 2 years ago and have been trying to get quotes for a roof and windows and since the quotes are free and good for 2 years, we figured what the heck. Right now for 5 windows, with the bathroom frosted, and our bedroom changed to a double hung Home builders quoted us $3500. So we are hoping that this other company will or can beat it.
