They are Fake. I called the non emergency number and told the lady I spoke with that these ppl keep calling saying I have a warrant for my arrest. The lady at the police department looked the number up and said hang up the time they call. They are scammers. I called the 614 407 0740 number back and they blocked my number so I couldn't get through. Just hang up if they call.
Keep getting calls something about Fraud and do not know what they are talking about. I believe this is some kind of scam. Wish they would stop calling. Everyday about three or four times aday.
This law firm is like the 3rd or 4th one this year to call about the same thing(check fraud). They claim that back in 2008 I took a cash advance and never paid it back. My question to all these firms is if I did not payback loan why wasn't I notified by e/mail that I hadn't done so. My e/mail is the same since 2003 ??????
They're scammers. NEVER pay any caller who refuses to MAIL proof that you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt. I would not accept anything via email as proof - nor is an invoice or bill "proof" that you owe a debt. You have rights as a consumer under the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).
Another tactic of the scammers is to say you committed check fraud, and they don't have to observe the FDCPA - which is patently false. Report the callers to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.
I have been getting calls from this number 1-614-407-0740. Yesterday 12-2-13, they made a threat towards my son if I did not pay them 2750.00. They would not give me there business name. The lady I spoke to was Denise and the man was Travis Southern. Made out a complaint with Attorney General's Office, as well as the Columbus Ohio Police Dept.
