They are Fake. I called the non emergency number and told the lady I spoke with that these ppl keep calling saying I have a warrant for my arrest. The lady at the police department looked the number up and said hang up the time they call. They are scammers. I called the 614 407 0740 number back and they blocked my number so I couldn't get through. Just hang up if they call.
I got a call not to long ago saying I owe AM South Bank I never banked with them before and they saying a warrant for my arrest tomorrow and I owe ace Cash advance when I called Ace they say they do not have me in there system at all. Edwards and Barry
Received a call from this number about a fraud against me and they have my ss#...well they will be reported for fraudulent activity against me..They did not leave a company name
These folks called as the Franklin County fraud division saying my driver's license was going to be suspended and they were going to have me arrested if I didn't give them $600 TODAY for an old payday loan that I knew didn't exist. I called the county they supposedly "had me" in and inquired with both the prosecutor's office (prosecutor's name they gave doesn't exist) and also with the worthless check division. This is a total SCAM. The woman "fishing" and leaving message calls herself Denise Thomas and when you call back she puts you through to "Director Jon Purell" supposedly the director of the fraud and worthless check division in Franklin County, Ohio who my state and county supposedly sent the "case" for them to handle.
They are aggressive and try to scare you. When you try to say you don't remember or ask them for paperwork they get aggressive again, saying you won't see paperwork until you've had your hands put behind you, put in a police car, and wait without bail for a trial.
REPORT THESE SCAMMERS IF THEY CALL YOU! I am also contacting the FBI.
I had this Denise Thomas call me today. I was crying and ready to do the unthinkable to myself. I never did this and then when I got home my daughter said mom, this is a scam. We went to police department and they told us the exact same thing.....SCAM. Someone needs to stop these people.....I am an older lady and it upset me so bad I was about to have a heart attack.
