Did not answer even tho a local Columbus OH number, because I did not recognize it. They left no message, but by reading all the msgs on another call site, its American Life insurance -or something like that. Yes, insurance companies will call and offer u a job after reading ur resume on-line. I got 4 emails and 2 calls within 2 weeks of posting my resume-all insurance companies! Here's what tells me to never interview with or work for the one that apparently just called - the caller ID indicates "Unavailable" as the caller. If you have a legitimate job opening, wouldn't your company name be displayed when you call people?!
I rec'd a call from this number this afternoon. Diane was told by her manager to call me since he saw my resume on Monster.com. I don't have a resume on Monster.com and I'm not interested in working for a company that 1. Has no HR department and 2. allows people to make calls from their living room with the TV blaring in the background. This may be a job, but it's 100% commission and it closely resembles AFLAC meaning, you don't sell anything? You don't get paid. It's a shame in these hard times that this sort of scam is legal. But trust me when I tell you, it's not anything the normal job seeker would be interested in. Tell them to take you off their list. Because there is a list since I know for a fact, I have no resume on Monster.com for this exact reason.
This is the Surace-Smith agency, associated with American Income Life Insurance Co. They called me for an interview last summer and when I asked them to explain exactly what position it was for they would never give me a direct answer. I decided to check them out and when I showed up for the interview there were about a dozen other people there too. When I once again asked if this is an actual interview for an actual position they again were vague. I told them to forget it and walked out. They once again called me this morning. So basically they are recruiting for insurance sales people.
Yes they said they found me on career builder. I rec'vd two calls from them never answered or called back. Glad to get a heads up here. Its a SCAM. I have a masters degree why would i want to pay to be an insurance agent?? come on.
Just got a call says they got my resume from career builder. I answered because I keep getting these damn calls. He asked if I'm looking for a full time job still, I said no I'm actually not. He busted out laughing, and said "yeah right" and then ok have a nice day. It was so weird. After I hung up I thought, did he just say yeah right?.. wtf ok
