Another call from Rachel at Cardholder Services just came in(01/23/2013 2:18PM Central time) to my cell phone. I'm on both the federal and my state's DNC list in addition, telemarketing to cell phones is illegal in my state(Louisiana). I've complained multiple times to both the federal and state DNC programs but it has not helped. Since there's no way to track them down, I doubt anything can be done.
Automated message advertising to reduce finance charges on your credit card. Pressed 1 to speak with someone. Asked them what company they're with and all he was able to say was Visa/Mastercard. Asked him again, what company he's with. He stammered for an answer naming off several different card companies. This is a scam.
I have received numerous calls from this number stating that I need to call them to lower my interest rate. I am registered on the DONOTCALL.ORG so let me know what I need to do to stop these types of calls to my cell phone.
Call from this number today. Did not answer, no message left. Will block. I am.about to find my whistle and blast these jerks. Illegal to call if on do not call list if on landline, but i think the law they are breaking is theft of services, which might be a higher charge.
I am on the DNC list for my home phone and cell phone, still I continue to get these calls several times a day. When I try to call them back to inform them to take me off their list, I get a message that it is a non-working number. HUH? Then how did they call me??? When a telemarketing company sets up a phone account with the phone company, they should have to sign a contract that clearly states that if they are caught calling people on the DNC list, they will face prison time and huget fines. That ought to slow them down a bit!
