I got two of these, when the guy asked for the last four digits of my social, I explained to him I was an investigative reporter, he could not or would not tell me the name of the company and got indignant I blocked this number on my land line thanks for the info, just as I suspected the same as the IRS scam .
This number calls all day my husbands cell my cell and our home phone. Yesterday I received 12 calls all leaving the same message 2 charges pending he's going to hunt me down at my employer or home I will be arrested blah blah blah.
Same [***] as Civil Claims Recovery claiming to be another collections agency asking for same bs debt they asked for. When I told them it was the same as before they hung up. I just wanted to know because they left a voicemail. They are a legit group of scammers and they will rip you off if you let them. They pull it off by disguising their numbers with either local numbers to you or what seems like a real number. Even if you pay to trace the number it's really not them. Call them if you want and give them a piece of your mind or block them. Eventually the Civil Claims Recovery [***] stopped calling me after i let them have it.
