Yep, they call here too. It's an automated voice recording that starts off with "important information about your credit card debt" -- that's funny, I don't use credit cards. Anyway, check with your telephone company about which services they offer to help manage unwanted calls. I blocked them from calling my number again.
just 10 minutes i got a phone call from this number. offering an 80% off vacation at cancun mexico offered by so-called premier cancun vacation company.ive got to talk to 2 male offering a great deal. they were really persistent to close the deal with me and making these lengthy promises. they also said it was a random selection to different province of manitoba. my God, anywhere u go nowadays there are corrupt and mind trapping people stealing something out from you.and the saddest part of it, they're my 'kababayan".SHAME ON THEM
Just so you know - no one can throw you in jail for having debt. And, no one can get you fired from a job for debt either. Its a scare tactic a LOT of collection and debt companies use. And, if you think about it, why would they make someone lose their source of income, when they are looking for money ?
I would suggest asking them to send you something IN WRITNG for ALL future correspondance. If that doesn't work, send them a Registered letter requesting the same. And keep copies for your self.
And, if they still harrass you, hire a lawyer. I am sure legal aid would be all over that.
Changed my residential number two days ago due to telemarketers. This is the first new one since the phone number change. Left no voicemail on answering machine.
