Just called our office asking for Accounts Payable. Said there was an insert in our last bill qualifying us for a rate reduction. Asked if we had received one. I said no. They asked me to get any of our last bills and would hold while I did. I asked to take their info so my boss could call back. She said she would call us back instead.
Called about my Eversource bill, I asked if they could call my boss tomorrow. "Mr. Parker" kept fast talking for 12 minutes, to put me on hold to talk to another person who said they would have to call back and talk to my boss. Wasted 15 minutes of my time after I tried to avoid the whole conversation to begin with.
My guess - trying to embarrass that person into paying a bill he/she did not owe. Bottom feeder debt collectors have been calling friends & employers in an extortion attempt. This is a common comment on 800notes.
