Just called our office asking for Accounts Payable. Said there was an insert in our last bill qualifying us for a rate reduction. Asked if we had received one. I said no. They asked me to get any of our last bills and would hold while I did. I asked to take their info so my boss could call back. She said she would call us back instead.
This number called our business today at 0947 hours. The boss happened to answer it. A person asked for the individual responsible for our National Grid bill. The boss replied, "Not interested. Have a nice day." and promptly disconnected. For the heck of it, I did a White Pages search on the phone number. No information. Yeah, that's not at all shady.
