This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number. It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.massfop.org. Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Massachusetts police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.
No matter how big they are or what good they are doing, nothing gives them a right to call me at odd hours and not even leave a message. These are unsolicitated calls and should stop ASAP.
I know people who work for Dana Farber's fund raising, and even they won't make such crank calls in the name of fund raising. If these guys don't stop calling, I will report them to AG's office.
