Who called from 6174523652

Called at 8pm, no message.
I think Keren is right - it is probably MIT (fits here) and probably asking for $ donations. They do that in April.

Yup, MIT using students to call alums and ask for money.

It could be a request for contributions, or perhaps a request to participate in some MIT activity or alumni function.  I'll call them back to see what's up.  Happy to get calls from them.  (Alum here)

I just got called from this number, and I'm an MIT alumnus too. Seems odd, since for many years the Alumni Association had always called from 617-253-XXXX. This is the second call I've received in less than a week, and they hang up before I can even answer.

Husband is MIT alum, so it makes sense. Would not leave a message.
