keeps calling an telling me  his name is mike johnson...have to call urgently...all my banking  information is in his department an if i disreguard this message it will end up in a legal matter....till then take care an have a wonderful day.....ITS A SCAM...they called me from 917-268-9159 but im suppose to call back at this 617 number is where his department is....what a joke this stuff needs to stop

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

Get a new bank account in a different bank and close the old one, tell your credit card companies that you lost your cards so they will give you a new number.  Put a fraud alert on your credit files. Change your phone number and don't answer any more calls from numbers you don't know and especially don't press any buttons to talk to someone or to be 'removed.'

My husband got a message at his job and was given this number to call 617-531-0409 when we call it first the guys name is Nick Thompson then when we call back the same person answers but his name is different and says it is a legal matter then they put us on hold have not a clue who this is or even how they got his work number

my call is from a jp morgan his name shows up on my caller id but its the617-531-0409 number to call.he is saying im going to be arrested at my place of employment within so many hours if i do not pay and i can only pay by getting a prepaid card such as green dot.he will not send me anything in the mail showing what i owe and if he did that and i saw it and had proof i paid it it would not be a problem to pay him but he wont send anything and im not paying anything cause i dont know where its going
