Never had someone call back so quickly after telling them "no thank you, we're not interested;" probably because she hung up so fast as I was saying it I couldn't get "put us on your DNC list" out.
She called RIGHT back, I told her it again, and hung up. Dang pests.
got a VM message only,,,,"00062" a verbal number. Called Tidewater Research of Boston, Mass.. Lady denied and did not know why their number came up on my caller id.
I have had several "number code" only messages like this the past 3 weeks. I am a new business.
I think Tidewater is a marketing research so I bet they are up to something and lying.
Not worth talking to. They are doing market satisfaction surveys and have no idea what they're asking about. Tidewater Research called me on a Monday and asked to take a few minutes of my time to talk about my satisfaction with my point of sale software. Looking at their company it seems they call business owners and ask survey type questions for a client of theirs that is looking into that market. We are a franchise business that are locked in to using only one of two POS systems. I answered their questions and was confused because it seemed the man on the other end of the phone had little or no idea what I was talking about. Then a woman called me Thursday to ask follow up questions. She then began asking about our satisfaction with our merchant services provider. Again, another thing we have few options with being a franchise. I answered a few questions and then asked her why she wanted to talk about merchant services. She indicated that they didn't realize that our POS system was separate from our merchant services. I challenged her on why you would research customer satisfaction with merchant services and not be familiar with any of the company names. She then said they needed to do more research and I told her that that should be done before you call business owners and ask stupid questions.
Someone called me today from this company asking about my choice of bearings and bearing suppliers. Same story - very little understanding of the topic, so some of the follow-up questions made no sense at all. Annoying and he was quite persistent too.
