received a robo-call from 313-355-5250 on my cell. pressed one. for a car warranty and was asked if I had a check light on and advised that if I had a check light on that it the auto warranty could not be renewed. it rang once then the number hung up. about 2 seconds later I got a call from 617-752-2958, dead air/no response, the they hung-up. I checking my cell bill for any erroneous charges; just in case...... <0-0>
Out of warranty.... whatever! The Do Not Call list really works huh? NOT! Caller says "Good morning, how are you?" I said, "Confused"... click! Little [***] hung up on me... hmmmmmmm, must of known a butt chewing was coming his way....
I initially reported this on the page for (313) 355-5250, but I thought I'd post here too because both #s appear to be part of a related scam. I got a robo-call this afternoon from (313) 355-5250 asking if I wanted to renew or extend the warranty on my car, which is hilarious because I don't own a car, let alone one with a warranty. It sounded like an amusing scam on their part so I pressed "2," hoping to speak to a scammer and ask them a bunch of questions. All it did was sign me up to have them call me later, though. An hour or so later, (617) 752-2958 called. The gentleman on the line asked, "Did you express interest in renewing your warranty?" I said, "Maybe, but first I want you to tell me what kind of car I have and what kind of warranty I have." He stammered, "Uh, ok" and hung up. Good times!
I just had the 313-355-5250 number call me and they call Every single day many times a day, so I finally pressed to speak with someone and their agent would call me back. They called back pretty soon after the other call. The number that called back was 617-752-2958 and it was a woman who asked if I would like to renew my warranty. I told her that I wouldn't want to, but I WOULD like them to remove us from their list because we get multiple calls per day and this is a business!! Ignorant woman hung up on me. I called the number back and it told me to press any number to be added to the Do Not Call List....we shall see if that worked!!
Same problem with both numbers. When I asked them which car they were calling about, the idiot... I mean guy said the one between 2003-2012 but that he needed to collect information from me first. I said that makes no sense and the phone mysteriously disconnected (in other words, the scammer hung up). Pathetic. Why don't these losers get real jobs?
