Called yesterday. I picked up and just listened silently because I get a lot of valid medical calls from 617 area code. Live, legit calls will say, "Hello? Hello?" This was just the 'dead air' of a robocall. I always hang on until the other end disconnects; at least I tie up one 'line' of theirs for a while so the computer can't be dialing another 'victim.'
Another commentor's mention of a 'survey' makes me suspect this is the tired old 'Free Cruise' SCAM. Been getting a slew of those from the 617 area code in last two months, as well.
Scammer called my cell phone. It was the female voice that has a delay and then says "Sorry about that. I dropped my headset..." Hung up at that point as I received that same scam call several times before from different numbers. They try to make it sound like a real person but it's a recording.
When I called them back, I went into voicemail that stated "The survey I had reached is now closed. To be removed from their call list, just hit 9.." No way am I going to do that.
This number 617-826-5658 is a Deceptive Telemarketing Caller. Hang up immediately. In fact, block this caller. It deceitfully sounds like it is live when it asks you a question... "can you hear me ok??" I hung up right away. Do they really think someone's going to buy their $#!+ when they're so dishonest?? ...and bugging us on our cell phone?
What douche bags.
