I got a similar answer. It was a women's voice. She asked if I was Bailey May, (my maiden name) and she was wanting to inquire about an electical bill, to pay it. But I lived with a family memeber when I moved out from my parents and never had ANY bills what so ever from IL. I DID however have my own apt. With my husband in MO. So it was concerning to me. I told her that. I told her I do not have any bills in my name and to, what ever list she had me on, to take my name off it and to not call ever again.
If this number calls again, demand they mail you proof of this debt. Phone calls, faxes, and emails are not legal methods of debt notification. Of course, since you know you don't owe the bill, your best bet is to block and ignore their calls instead of even speaking to them.
