called 3 days in a row, no messages left, just rings and rings, then silence

Rings once or twice and they hang up.    Starting to get really annoying.

Asked for the person who takes care off the Ameren electric bill. We don't have them around here. Scam!

Ameren (?) pushing different providers for lower rates. Caller ID said cell phone and answered the call without thinking. Tiring and annoying not to be able to use my own phone!

Got a call from 618-856-1212. CID said WIRELESS CALLER. I answered just to see who the next scammer is. A real male voice asked to speak to the person who handles the Ameren bill. Since I do not have Ameren  I said there was no one here that handles the Ameren bill. He hung up immediately. What do these scammers think they're going to gain??
