Once again I got a call from 618-856-1212. CID said WIRELESS CALLER. I answered on the second ring and there was "conversation" going on between my caller and someone else, probably her accomplice. A real female voice asked to talk to the person who takes care of the Ameren bill. I asked her what the purpose was in her talking to that person. She went into "professional" mode and identified herself as Amber. She told me that this was a follow-up call concerning the information they had received from Ameren about a rate reduction on my bill. I said,"That is really interesting that you would have received information from Ameren concerning my bill because I don't have Ameren". Her next quick question was, "Do you have ComEd?" Somewhat peeved, I answered, "No, I don't". "Sorry to bother you", she answered. If she was really "sorry to bother me" she would quit calling! What is being gained by these scam calls???
