I am on the national no call list and I still get stupid phone calls about 5 timesa day on my cell phone of all things. I block every scam number there us and more keep calling.
This number Called and stated that I had been approved for a $4,250 loan but I have to pay a $173.00 security deposit I asked for all of their website info before going any further they told me their name was "Amarican Cash" yes, "Amarican" not "American" and they gave me a web address http://www.installmentloanspaidmonthly.us I looked up this website and it says that it is BBB accredited, but on the BBB website it says it is NOT! They also gave me an approval "code" incase I needed to call back which was DK4645....I kept going in order to get more information, they wouldn't allow me to use my bank acct to pay I had to go to a CVS,Walgreens,Gas station, Etc. to purchase a pre-paid card in order to pay the deposit I also asked for the loan paperwork to read over before I took out this "loan", they could not provide this to me until I "satisfied the deposit"! Seems like a scam!
If they ask for money to secure a loan or ask for prepaid card, it is 100% scam. They usually want to be on the phone with you when you go get it and say that they will call you at that time. I playing along told the guy to call me at 3pm and he asked my time zone or his so I said I don't know what time zone your in. Dumb*** told me Pakistani time zone. Lol.
Called me today, same info, could barely understand what they were saying, lots of noise in background and definitely foreign. First of all I never filled out any application online . I have had my emails hacked in past and someone took loans out in my name back then. Funny how they refuse to mail you proof of debt just want to threaten me. Scams are running wild. Don't ever give them any personal information and never fall for the prepaid card scam or money up front scam. This is not legal! Lol just called again while typing this! Blocking the number!
I got this, too, this morning. This is a 100% scam....absolutely no doubt about it. Reputable lenders NEVER ask for any up front "good faith deposit" (what a laugh) and ALWAYS provide loan documents that you MUST sign. Anything less is totally and COMPLETELY illegal. I told them I was on to their con, and the a-hole cursed me out! I'm still laughing!
