I kept getting calls from this nunber, after doing research found out it was a type of dept collector. Found out I had a small dept that I didn't even know about and paid it but this number was not who I had to contact, they asked for my account number or phone number when I answered and he spike very pore English when I answered so I just hung up without saying anything.
You say you found out you owed a "small dept". How did you find this out? Did they follow the law and MAIL you proof of the debt? Or did you just take their word over the phone? Because phone calls, faxes, texts, and emails are not legal methods of debt notification. If they didn't mail you proof, you paid a scammer and have set yourself up to be contacted again and again about the same "debt".
