They called and hung up. If they are a Debt Collector, you can sue and get up to 500. a call! 3 Years ago, 4 different companies were calling me via my cell, got $8,000 from 3 of them them thru my attorney. And waiting on collecting from Portfolio.They were all calling for someone else..so many are sueing them that there is a class action suit against them...So if they keep calling...cha ching....expired debt or someone else's, doesn't matter..when these co's call you. If they are calling your cell Big $$$$. this time they are calling my Voip...sigh
Missed a call. Called back and from my caller ID knew my real name. Claimed they were Midland Credit Mngt. They tried phishing for more info and refused to say why they called. Probably trying to collect junk debt.
They are third party collection agency that bought your account on pennies for the dollar because the original credit was charged off. They collect any amount they can and make a killing because they bought the debt at deep discount. Just dispute the debt. They have no legal right to collect. But people who are willing to pay with no questions asked make them rich.
